Chopda Pujan & Diwali

Date: Monday, October 20th
Time: Session 1: 4:45 PM | Session 2: 6:15 PM

One of the most auspicious days in the Hindu calendar will be celebrated with great devotion and splendor. A ceremony, known as Chopda Pujan, will take place in the evening. Hundreds of new account books – in a variety of paper and electronic forms – are sanctified through the showering of flowers, petals and rice grains amid the chanting of Vedic hymns and prayers.

Registration for Chopda Pujan is now closed. We will be accommodating walk-ins based on seating availability.

Grand Annakut Darshan

Date: Tuesday, October 21st
Time: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The day following Diwali is the beginning of the Hindu New Year. The Hindu New Year is traditionally celebrated with the Annakut – literally meaning, a mountain of food. Every year, thousands of vegetarian delicacies are offered in devotional gratitude for the past year and to seek blessings for the New Year ahead. We cordially invite you for darshan of the Annakut with family and friends.

This year will include special activities for the entire family to learn about key values of Hinduism!

All traffic after 5:00 PM will be redirected towards off-site Parking at Bartlett High School (701 W Schick Road, Bartlett, IL 60103).

Free Shuttle Service will be provided to and from 5:00 PM until 9:30 PM.

NO Diwali Celebrations

Date: Wed, October 22nd

There will be NO Diwali celebrations on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Based on U.S.-specific Hindu calendar (Panchang and Tithi calculations), the Grand Annakut Celebration will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

The Mandir will be open during regular visitor hours.

Diwali Samaiyo

Celebrate the first Gujarati satsang sabha (weekly spiritual assembly) of the Hindu New Year with spiritual discourses, inspiring videos, and kirtan-bhakti.
